Dierks School Board re-hires certified staff

Dierks Superintendent Jody Cowart informed the Dierks School Board that the elementary classroom expansion project is just about completed. He said the contractors were laying sod. The new addition will house the 2nd grade, 3rd grade, counseling and science lab when it opens next fall.

JoAnn Walters Elementary principal Lori Finley reported the new swings for the 2nd and 3rd playground are being installed.

Board members voted to purchase a 29-hp Vanguard Tractor from the Mower Shop for $11,673.73, 340 Chromebooks from STS Technology for $79,393.65, 70 laptops from STS Technology for $50,514.83 and two HVAC units from Mainstream A/C for $14,553.

Board members voted to accept the resignations of teacher, Linda Tolman and Sr. High cheer Coach April Kappus. They accepted the retirement of Lou Ann Huddleston. The board voted to hire Adriana Hogg as Sr. Cheer Coach and to re-hire all other certified staff.
