Dierks School Board Reviews Bids for High School Football Facility

The Dierks School Board held a specially called meeting yesterday to review bids submitted for the Dierks High School football facility project.
Board members present at the meeting included President Jarron Tipton, Kara Tedford, and Jeffrey Mounts. Also in attendance were Superintendent Grover Hill, Facilities Director Jerry Straisner, Dierks High School football coach Paul Ernest, and representatives from the companies that submitted bids for the project.
Mascot Holdings, doing business as Fielders Choice, submitted the lowest bid at $1,107,542, along with a bid bond amount of $55,377.10. GEO Surfaces submitted a bid totaling $1.325 million with a five percent bid bond. United Turf and Track submitted a bid of $1.3 million, also with a five percent bid bond. Nationwide Sports Construction submitted the highest bid at $1,410,355 with a five percent bid bond.
No decision was made during yesterday’s meeting. The school board is expected to make a final decision during another special called meeting scheduled for today.
