Dierks School Board Reviews Finances, First Week of School and Football Field Renovations

The Dierks School Board held its regular meeting Monday, August 17th, where members approved the minutes from the previous meeting and discussed several items related to the upcoming school year.
The board approved adding a discussion of student transfers to the meeting agenda.
Dierks School District Superintendent Grover Hill presented the district’s financial report to the board.
Dierks High School Principal Paul Ernest and JoAnn Walters Elementary Principal Beth Shelton also provided an update on the first week of school, discussing how students and staff were adjusting as the new school year got underway.
The board approved a change order related to renovations at the football field.
Members also approved accepting two students into the district while allowing one student to transfer out.
In addition, the board approved Marcus Wright for a half bus route for the 2026-2027 school year.
