Dierks School District adding wireless access points in every classroom
Monday night, members of the Dierks School Board voted to accept a bid of $24,600 for the purchase and installment of 54 wireless access points from White River in Batesville.
Superintendent Jody Cowart reported they will put an access point in every classroom on both campuses. He said currently their wireless service can support 30 devices. With the upgrade, the system will support 500 devices at 1,000 mega bites per second.
Cowart said the district will use CARES Act funds to make the purchase.
In other business, the board voted to replace the engine in a route bus.
And, they accepted the transfer of two students from Kirby.
