Dierks School District pass 2022-2023 Legislative Audit
Wednesday night during the Dierks School Board’s regular monthly meeting, the board approved a motion to keep the school board organization as is and to keep everyone in their same positions. They also approved another motion to accept 7 students into the district, 1 out of the district, and 5 were declined.
It was reported that the Dierks School District passed the 2022-2023 Legislative Audit and there were no findings. There was a motion made by board members Jeffrey Mounts and seconded by Justin Simmons to accept the audit review.
Current enrollment at the JoAnn Walters Elementary School is 290 which was an increase from last month. Principal Craig Dodson said they are undergoing a bit of an enrollment boom.
Dodson also discussed the numbers of the 2nd graders that will be going to 3rd grade.
Enrollment at the Dierks High School is 247. Superintendent Grover Hill said he can see the district pushing to a total of 550 students if things continue by the fall. Hill stated that it is nice to have some growth.
In conclusion, the board approved a motion to rehire all classified staff for the 2024-2025 school year.
