Dierks School District reports revenue is down
The Dierks School Board held their regular monthly meeting last week.
Board Members did a comparison of last year’s revenue to this year’s revenue and had concerns about it being down $500,000 dollars.
Business Manager Kayla Jones explained to the Board the reason why revenue was down and how the problem was going to be fixed.
Superintendent Grover Hill stated that $1500 of the Bond Funds went towards the plumbing project for the lunch room. Hill also stated that they are wanting to have the front section of the High School painted which was estimated at about $7,000 and if they have the west side of the gym added to this project it would cost an extra $3,000.
Hill mentioned that the district just received a $3,000 grant from Weyerhaeuser and he discussed the upcoming landscaping project.
Hill said that East Lab has done signage for the schools and he has more ideas that will help their campuses look better.
