Dinosaur Tracks at Nashville City Park: A Conversation with Freddie Horne
Recently, KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to speak with Freddie Horne, President of the Howard County Historical Society, about the remarkable dinosaur tracks located at Nashville City Park.
In part two of our discussion, Horne revealed that the park is home to one of the original trackways, and the society is hoping to construct a pavilion to protect this significant site.
Horne went on to recount the fascinating story of how these tracks were discovered, shedding light on their historical significance.
Additionally, Horne shared that the library has a footprint of a different type of dinosaur, emphasizing the diversity of dinosaur species recorded in the area.
In conclusion, Horne announced that the Historical Society will be hosting a membership drive in November, with Vera Marks serving as the director for membership. They will also take a moment to recognize long-time members during the event.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting initiative and the rich history of the area.
