Disturbance call results in drug arrest
Howard County Deputy Jake Eudy received a disturbance call on September 30th in Center Point. There were two people on the scene that Eudy believed showed signs of recent drug use.
Eudy asked the female passenger for consent to check her vehicle and she gave him consent.
During the search, Eudy found a glass smoking pipe and a metal spoon with a crystal like residue on it. Eudy also found a plastic bag that contained a crystal rock like substance, that was believed to be methamphetamine, underneath the air filter of the vehicle.
The female was identified as 31-year-old Haylee Peck of Hayesville, North Carolina. Peck was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
