Drug Related Charges In Pike County

A Delight resident has been charged with a pair of felony drug related counts in Pike County Circuit Court. 39 year old Jeremy B. Smith was charged yesterday for Possession With Purpose to Deliver and for possessing drug paraphernalia. The charges are the result of a traffic stop police made on December 21st near the Pike/Hempstead county line on Highway 195. Authorities said they recovered three baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, a drug pipe and several empty plastic baggies.

Smith was also detained on a felony warrant from Hempstead County.
