Enrollment Up at South Pike County School District

Enrollment is trending upwards in the South County School District. During Tuesday’s school board meeting, Superintendent Brad Sullivan reported a total of 690 students. That figure is up from 676 at this time last year. There are 300 students enrolled at Murfreesboro Elementary School, 85 at Delight Elementary School, and 305 at Murfreesboro High School. Sullivan says he has challenged both staff and students to win the prize of success.

students scored at or above the state average during recent state testing and that the district continues to engage students with learning opportunities through technology and the Apple one-to-one initiative.

In other business during Tuesday’s board meeting, the proposed 2019-2020 budget and several statement of assurances received approval.
