Fall Sports Schedules Still Uncertain
School officials were hoping to receive word this week on what happens with high school football and other athletics once school resumes next month.
In his Tuesday press conference, Governor Asa Hutchinson said the state is not ready to proceed with phase three of reopening from COVID-19. That phase includes the return of contact sports.
Yesterday, the governor said reducing the spread of the virus by wearing a mask is the key to having sports return this fall on the high school and college levels.
The Nashville Scrapper football team has been holding summer workouts since early June but will now take a dead week period Friday through July 10th.
