Fatal accident on Hwy 70 claims life of Glenwood woman

Arkansas State Police say a Glenwood woman was one of four people who died in an accident Saturday afternoon on Highway 70 in Garland County.  57 year old Julieanna Gonzalez was the passenger in a 2020 Hyundai that was traveling east.  Police reports say the vehicle, driven by 43 year old Andres Gonzalez crossed into the oncoming traffic lanes.  In addition to the Gonzalez vehicle, three other vehicles, all traveling west, were also involved.  Julieanna Gonzalez died at the accident scene, as did three other people. The other victims were in a 2009 Hyundai that was driven by 67 year old Linda Godwin of Royal.  Two passengers in the Godwin vehicle, a 35 year old Royal resident and a minor, whose age was not given by state police, also died at the scene.  In addition to the four fatalities, police say Andres Gonzalez was injured in the accident and was transferred to UAMS.

The accident was reported around 2:30 p.m.
