Fatal Crash in Howard County Claims Life of Dierks Man

A Wednesday morning crash in rural Howard County has claimed the life of a 31-year-old man from Dierks.

According to preliminary reports from the Arkansas State Police, the incident occurred when Jason Cody Sherck, the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 278. Sherck’s vehicle veered off the road to the left, striking a tree before overturning into a ditch. Despite efforts to respond to the scene, Sherck was pronounced dead.

Corporal Kyle Jones of the Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the crash.
