FEMA Funeral Assistance

FEMA has announced an initiative aimed at helping those who have suffered the loss of a loved one due to Coronavirus. Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020. Those eligible may have up to $9,000 in funeral assistance available to them. This funding is intended to assist with expenses related to funeral & memorials costs, burial, and cremation.
