Fiber Optic Internet – Worker Safety
It’s not new news that fiber optic internet is coming to the Nashville area. Southwest Arkansas has been promised the expansion of high-speed internet to our area in part by Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative. This roughly $150 million dollar project has a timeline of 5 years. However, crews in and around Nashville have already been hard at work implementing a smart electric grid. As these crews continue to work in our area the Southwest Arkansas Electric Coop is asking the public to please be mindful of the workers in the field. Specifically while you are driving. The installation of this service requires that oftentimes the workers be working near the road. While construction signs will be in place you are asked to take extra caution as you pass by. Slow down as you pass by on your way home so that these workers may too go home at the end of the day.
