Fight results in arrest for aggravated assault and battery in the 3rd degree

On November 11th, Officers responded to a possible fight at 313 Deerwood Lane in Nashville. 

When the officers arrived they found the victim, 20 year old Celia Juarez inside. Juarez allegedly was having an affair with 42 year old Vany Navarrette’s husband, Javier Navarette. On the day in question she and Javier Navarette were supposedly going deer hunting.

According to Juarez, the suspect, Vany Navarrete, found messages in Javier Navarrete’s phone that were sent to Juarez and she then told him to take her to Juarez’s house.

Vany Navarette and Juarez reportedly got into a physical altercation. Vany Navarette allegedly hit Juarez with a flashlight causing minor injuries to Juarez’s forehead, the back of her head, and her nose was broken.  

It’s been reported that Vany Navarette pulled out a knife and swung it at Juarez and Juarez had some cuts on her hands that required stitches.

Vany Navarette was arrested later in the morning at her residence and was transported to the Howard County Jail where she was charged with aggravated assault, and battery in the third degree.
