Florida Couple Finds 3.36-Carat Diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park

A Florida couple visiting Arkansas made a sparkling discovery last Tuesday at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro.
Scott and Jennifer Freitas were sifting through their third bucket of dirt on Tuesday when they uncovered a 3.36-carat white diamond. The find was shared on social media by Lovejoy Diamond Screens, a local business that rents out mining equipment at the park.

The post included a photo of the diamond along with an official certification card from the park. Lovejoy says an official press release from the park is expected in the next week or two.
Crater of Diamonds is one of the few places in the world where the public can search for real diamonds—and keep what they find.
