Florida Visitor Finds 487th Diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park
Denis Tyrrell, a seasoned diamond hunter from Florida, made a remarkable discovery Tuesday at Arkansas’ Crater of Diamonds State Park. Tyrrell found and registered a 35-point, white, macle diamond, marking his 487th diamond find at the popular public park.
The diamond, which weighs 35 points, is a rare and unique type of diamond known for its flat, triangular shape. Tyrrell’s find is significant, as white diamonds are among the more unusual diamond formations found at the park. In total, there are 100 points of weight per carat, making Tyrrell’s diamond worth noting both for its shape and its size.
Tyrrell, a frequent visitor to the park, has had impressive success in his diamond-hunting endeavors. His 487th find continues to add to his legacy as one of the park’s most accomplished diamond hunters.
Crater of Diamonds State Park, located in Murfreesboro, is the only place in the world where visitors can search for real diamonds and keep what they find. Each year, park visitors unearth numerous diamonds, with many remarkable discoveries drawing attention from both amateur and professional gem hunters alike.
