Flu Cases Increasing Around Southwest Arkansas

Health department officials are seeing an increase in the number of flu cases locally. Donna Webb, administrator of the Howard County Health Unit, says three dozen people have died this season from the flu in Arkansas.

Webb says there’s still time to get the flu vaccine. She also encourages people to wash their hands frequently to help keep viruses from spreading.

The flu season generally runs through the end of March.
