Friday Night Lights: Scrappers and Bobcats Face Off in Historic Rivalry

One of Southwest Arkansas’s most storied rivalries is back under the Friday night lights as the Nashville Scrappers prepare to take on the Hope Bobcats this week at Scrapper Stadium.

We had the opportunity to speak with Nashville Head Football Coach Brad Chesshir and Athletic Director Bunch Nichols about the deep-rooted tradition behind this matchup.

Chesshir took a moment to talk about Hope’s football program.

While the rivalry is historic, this year’s game also brings challenges.

Coach Chesshir also acknowledged the strength of Hope’s defense, noting that the Scrappers will need to stay sharp on offense.
