Glenwood man charged with numerous felony counts related to child pornography
A Glenwood man was formally charged Wednesday in Pike County Circuit with numerous felony counts, most of which are related to him allegedly having sex with minor age females, and for allegedly creating or downloading child pornography type materials. 58 year old Barry Alan Walker is facing 38 total charges as the result of an investigation that took place in June. Authorities say they executed a search warrant at Walker’s residence in Glenwood. During that process, police say seven guns were recovered. Two of those weapons were listed as fully automatic sub machine guns. In addition to the weapons recovery, police say they also found a bag of suspected methamphetmine. Several electronic devices were also seized, including a hard drive that police say contained homemade videos and child pornography. There were also several thousand downloaded videos and pictures of child pornography, according to authorities. As a result of the discovery and subsequent investigation, Walker has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons, and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, and Possession of meth cocaine–With Purpose to Deliver.
The remaining charges against Walker include seven counts of rape of a child under 14 years of age, and numerous charges dealing with the pictures and/or videos of child pornography.
Walker is scheduled for a first court appearance and arraignment Monday in Pike County Circuit Court.
