Governor: Over 17,000 Unemployment Claims Filed

On Wednesday, Governor Asa Hutchinson stated over 9,000 unemployment claims were filed last week. So far this week, 8,000 more unemployment claims have been filed. Governor Hutchinson encouraged those Arkansans who are filing unemployment claims to be patient.

Hutchinson stated that the previous guideline from the Department of Health that only ten or fewer people be inside at social gatherings will be turned into a directive.
