Grandson of famous actor John Wayne will speak at Diamond Writers event next month

Recently, KMTB and KNAS took a moment to speak with local author Jason Horn about the upcoming Diamond Writers event that will be held next month. Horn stated that their speaker will be John T Wayne who is the grandson of famous actor John Wayne.

Wayne was born in St Louis, Missouri in August of 1958 and now he resides in Arkansas with his wife Donna. Wayne began writing books in 1985; books about the orphan’s created by the Civil War along with stories about the Old West.

Wayne also helps promote TRUE GRIT TRAIL for the city of Dardanelle and the state of Arkansas. Wayne has an upcoming series called the TRUE GRIT TRAIL whose main focus is U.S. Marshals out of Fort Smith. To date, all of his books have been published under THE GASLIGHT BOYS series.

Horn said the Diamond Writers group consists of up to 15 people and they meet once a month.

Horn mentioned Penny Richards, another author from the local area. Horn said Richards has published about 60 books and he gives her credit for getting John T Wayne to be the speaker for the Diamond Writers event next month.
