Harrison and Furr named Nashville Chamber Woman and Man of the Year
“Better Together” was celebrated Monday night as the theme of this year’s Nashville Chamber of Commerce banquet. Last night’s banquet was the first in-person banquet hosted by the chamber since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Among the awards presented last night was Woman of the Year and Man of the Year honors. Stephanie Harrison, co-owner of PATAcakes restaurant was named Woman of the Year. Chamber Executive Director Mike Reese said Harrison has a heart to help others:
Greg Furr was chosen for Man of the Year honors. Furr was highlighted for his work with the Nashville Soup Kitchen:
Several other individual awards were presented Monday night as well. The family of Mary Woodruff received a memorial award plaque in her honor. Woodruff was noted for her years of service to Nashville City Hall as well time spent as a chamber of commerce board member. A lifetime achievement award was given to the family of Dr. David Blase who spent many years pastoring churches in Nashville and Dierks…and a Community Spirit award was given to the Nashville Soup Kitchen for their effort of helping the needy in our community.
Outgoing Chamber President Mark Dale was also honored for his time of service to the chamber.
