Harvest Regional Food Bank to Distribute USDA Commodity Food Boxes in Howard County
Harvest Regional Food Bank, in partnership with the Sunset Church of Christ, will be distributing USDA commodity food boxes to Howard County residents on tomorrow, November 13, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM or until all boxes have been distributed. The distribution will take place at Sunset Church of Christ, located at 1420 West Sunset Street in Nashville.
This mobile pantry event is part of Harvest Regional Food Bank’s ongoing effort to support local families in need. The food boxes will be distributed directly from the truck, and volunteers will be on hand to assist recipients throughout the process.
Recipients must check in inside the Fellowship Building behind the church before proceeding to the parking lot to receive their food box. Only one box per household will be distributed, and two households per vehicle may pick up food.
To receive a food box, recipients must present an updated Driver’s License with a current address or some form of photo identification that verifies they are a resident of Howard County. Proof of address will also be required. Once checked in, recipients will return to their vehicle and follow instructions from volunteers for receiving their food box.
The food distribution is designed to help those who may be struggling with food insecurity and is available to anyone who meets the eligibility requirements. This event will run until 11:00 AM or until all boxes have been handed out, so individuals are encouraged to arrive early.
The next mobile pantry event in Howard County will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. For more information on future distributions or how to get involved, visit Harvest Regional Food Bank’s website or contact the Sunset Church of Christ.
