Harvest Regional Food Bank to Hold Food Distribution in Lockesburg

Harvest Regional Food Bank will hold a food distribution for qualifying Sevier County households later this month, providing food boxes through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
The distribution is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church Lockesburg, located at 3466 S. Camellia.
Food boxes will be distributed directly from a Harvest Regional Food Bank truck. Recipients should first enter the church to check in before returning to their vehicles and joining the distribution line.
Organizers expect traffic to line up along West Magnolia Street and through the church parking lot. The line will extend along West Magnolia Street to South Park Avenue.
Recipients must bring a photo ID or other proof of address showing they are residents of Sevier County. Distribution is limited to one food box per household, with no more than two households permitted per vehicle.
Those planning to participate are encouraged to arrive prepared for the expected traffic flow and to have the required identification or proof of residency available at check-in.
