HCCC Bulldogs special guest at Nashville Rotary Club Meeting

Wednesday, members of the Howard County Children and Adult Center attended the Nashville Rotary Club meeting. 

Executive Director of HCCC Rose Ray took a moment to introduce the 2024 Basketball HCCC Bulldogs that just won gold at state. 

Members of the Bulldogs Basketball team are Coach Christy Fike, Coach Kayla Blankenship, Boone McJunkins, Cutter Ford, Khaliyah Bearden, Audrie Scott, Brodey Mills, Carrie Rand, Billy Roach, and Randy Martin.
Coach Fike, who has been the Special Olympics coach for the last eight years, stated that they started basketball season in January, and she discussed the process of getting the team started.

Fike also stated that they volunteer their time to coach, and she shared what makes it so special to be able to see the players play during the game. 

Fike mentioned the Bulldogs playing in the area games and how they went all the way to state this year.

They are also selling Solar Eclipse shirts at the Howard County Children Center for $20 that say, “I got mooned in Nashville Arkansas” and proceeds will go towards Special Olympics. Anyone that is interested can call the center at 870-845-1211.
