Hempstead County Detention Center Not Allowing Public Admittance

Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton says public admittance to the county detention center will be suspended for visitation with jail inmates, clergy visits, church services, rehab services that include NA OR AA and for inmate educational services.

Sheriff Singleton says attorneys are strongly encouraged to use video means available to them in order to communicate with their inmate clients.
