Hempstead County Jailer Arrested

A jailer at the Hempstead County Detention Facility has been arrested.  Sheriff’s investigators say 28 year old Chad Allen Bryant of Hope is charged with a felony count of Furnishing Prohibited Articles at the jail. 

Authorities began an investigation after several female inmates accused Bryant of giving them cigarettes in return for for sexual favors. 

Bryant was released on an O.R. bond and is scheduled for an April 8th appearance in Hempstead County Circuit Court.
