Hempstead County Receives CARES Act Grant for High-speed Internet Service

A grant of $1.08 million dollars has been awarded to provide internet at high speed broadband levels in Hempstead County. Premiere Holdings, which is the same company who was awarded the grant in Nashville, and has approached the city of Dierks, will receive the funds to to provide fixed wireless internet in the county.
The announcement of the grant was part of $5 million dollars in CARES ACT funding for broadband improvements announced yesterday by state officials.
