High speed pursuit ends in arrest of Nashville resident
A vehicle pursuit this month has led to charges against a local resident. 23 year Paris Wilkerson of Nashville was arrested after leading officers on a pursuit that exceeded 100 miles per hour on Honeycutt Road and Highway 27 South. The incident began when officers were notified of a reckless driver traveling toward Nashville along Highway 371 West. Officer Dustin Wakefield observed the vehicle at the Highway 371 and Honeycutt Road intersection and attempted a traffic stop. The pursuit ended without incident when Wilkerson stopped near the Highway 27 and Midway Loop area.
Wilkerson has been charged with a felony fleeing count, along with misdemeanor charges that include possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
