High temperatures may result in health issues; caution advised

We are experiencing the hottest summer temperatures seen in Nashville in three years, with that trend to continue into the foreseeable future. The oppressive temperatures, combined with high humidity levels, is resulting in conditions that can cause outdoor activities to become life threatening.  John Gray, a representative of Pafford Medical Services, says people should know the symptoms of heat related health issues:

Gray says it’s best to avoid doing outdoor activities during the hottest times of the day.  If you have to be working in the heat, staying hydrated is the key to staying healthy:

Monday’s high in Nashville was 104 degrees.  Yesterday was the third consecutive day with temperatures getting above 100 degrees.
