HMH applies for grant to update rooms with tele-health capabilities
Howard Memorial Hospital board met Tuesday evening. Among the items discussed was a bounce back in budget which was negatively effected in February due to the snow.
A survey conducted by a third party company of overall patient satisfaction for Howard Memorial Hospital rated 13 of 14 categories well above other hospitals on both a state and national level. Congratulations and thank you to the Hospital staff for making those ratings possible.
The pediatric therapy center officially opened April 5th and has been a huge success. The expectation of having enough clients to fill a 3 day week was easily surpassed as the pediatric therapy center has been operating at a 5 day a week pace since opening. CEO Debra Wright expressed her appreciation for the rehab staff an all those involved in making this goal a reality.
The board voted to approve the expenditure of funding from a grant that will, if received, update 10 rooms with tele-health capabilities. This update will also allow patients and staff alike to stay informed of current information regarding the patients stay via screens in the room.
