HMH applies for grant

Howard Memorial Hospital Board of Directors held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night. 

CEO Debra Wright reported that 16 Arkansas hospitals participated in the Alvarez and Marsal review in order to apply for ARPA funds to be distributed by the legislative council in conjunction with DHS and DFA. Wright also reported that CFO Bill Craig submitted the Sustainability Plan Application on the due date. Wright said that this is the largest grant application opportunity that HMH has had to date in their current location.

This grant has a $5 million dollar cap. Wright thanked Craig along with the rest of the HMH team who collected information to make this application a reality. 

Dr. Carla Pumphrey provided the medical staff report. Dr. Pumphrey mentioned appointing Dr John Skowronski for Emergency Services along with the reappointment of CRNA Gary Manly for Anesthesia and Dr. Parker Jenkins for Emergency Service. Pumphrey stated that their credentials were in place, and everything is in order. The board approved a motion to approve the medical staff report as presented.
