HMH Board of Directors approves purchase of equipment
The members of the Howard Memorial Hospital Board of Directors approved the purchase of new Eluxeo endoscopes from Fuji.
Registered nurse Lindsay Hooper informed the board the hospital’s current endoscopes were purchased in 2014.
CEO Debra Wright informed the board the equipment was an approved capital budget item for the surgical services department.
Wright also asked the board to approve the purchase of an unbudgeted capital expense for the dietary department. She explained the department’s convection oven has quit working and it would cost as much to repair as it will to replace. Wright said the department is currently using two smaller ovens.
The board approved the purchase at a cost of $5,930.53.
Wright said they can expect delivery in 16 to 18 weeks.
