HMH CNO recognized for Women History Month
March is Women’s History Month in Arkansas. Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. This is also a time to celebrate the specific achievements women have made in a variety of fields.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we are recognizing Howard Memorial Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Paula Mitchell. Who’s been in the nursing field for 23 years.
Mitchell has participated in various health fairs in Howard, Pike, and Sevier Counties. At those health fairs she had the opportunity to relay essential information about the human body and its functions along with raising awareness of wellness incentives and healthy habits and lifestyle. Also during those events she would provide medical screenings to people in the community. Mitchell said since she’s been at HMH, she felt really good about the progress that was made and she feels like that is a testament to the hospital.
Mitchell will soon be taking on a new adventure in Billings Montana and she expressed what memories she will take with her on her new journey.
