HMH hires new Human Resources Director
Tuesday evening during the Howard Memorial Hospital regular monthly board meeting, the board approved to hire Shelby Frachiseur as the Human Resources Director. Frachiseur mentioned how much this opportunity means to her along with giving a special thanks to HMH and staff members.
CFO Bill Craig provided the board with an update on the 6-month call with Alvarez and Marsal that was in regard to the Sustainability Plan. Craig stated that he talked to three representatives on May 10th, and he said that the call was a good call. Craig said that the reps wanted to know about the two benchmarks of where the hospital was at. Craig presented the data and discussed the improvements that HMH has made. Craig expressed that HMH is super excited because this would change the complexion of their strategic plan as well as the budget of 2025. He said getting $1.3 million dollars is a big deal and now they are just waiting on the approval.
COO Stacy Harberson informed the board that she will have her first meeting for the 2024 ACHE Executive program June 9th through the 11th. She added that there will be a virtual program orientation this month to review the virtual learning environment, agenda details, types of activities, and in person site visits as well as a time to meet the staff, lead faculty coaches, and other attendees. Harberson also was appointed as a council member for the Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Arkansas, Inc and she attended her first meeting in Magnolia on Thursday May 9th. She added that this agency is a nonprofit organization serving adults 60 or older and services are provided in Howard, Sevier, and other surrounding counties. Harberson also reported that Dr Clay Ferguson has been appointed as the Medical Director for the Howard Memorial Hospital Wound Clinic.
