HMH will be honored in Kansas City as one of the 2023 top 20 winners
Members of the Howard Memorial Hospital Board held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday. According to CEO Debra Wright’s report, Howard Memorial Hospital was honored by the National Rural Health Association as the top 20 highest ranked of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in America as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. HMH received notification from NRHA for being identified as one of the 2023 top 20 winners. The designated categories were quality index and patient perspective index. HMH will be honored at an awards breakfast in September of this year in Kansas City, Missouri.
Wright also informed the Board about the resignation of Dr. Sifau Oladipo and will take effect August 15th 2023. Wright stated that she appreciated everything that Oladipo has done for HMH during her three years of employment and wished her much success in her future endeavors.
Also, during the meeting, Dr. Carla Pumphrey made a recommendation to the Board to appoint Dr. Gregory Hammons as an Emergency doctor, to reappoint Dr. Bryan Griffin, Dr. John Hearnsberger, Dr. Brian Oge, and Dr. Timothy Webb. There was a unanimous vote by the board to approve Dr. Pumphrey’s recommendation.
