HMH will receive reimbursement from Medicaid and Medicare Programs

Board Members of the Howard Memorial Hospital held their regular monthly meeting last week. 
According to the financial report for the month of January 2023, CFO Bill Craig stated that their main focus is collectible revenue, and they want to make sure that payers are paying the hospital according to the contract.

Craig stated that there’s good news for HMH. Craig discussed the reimbursement that the hospital will be receiving from the Medicaid and Medicare programs.

According to the performance improvement report, of the 35 hospitals within 100 miles, HMH is one of the 9 that are better than the nationwide emergency department averages in each of admit decision to inpatient admission, arrival to discharge, and patients who left before being seen. 
HMH Board Members also approved a motion to accept Formal Record of Action 403b and the Laboratory Test Directory Policy.
