Holiday Trash Collection Schedule for Howard and Pike Counties
Residents of Howard and Pike Counties are reminded of adjustments to the rural trash collection schedule during the holiday week of December 23rd. To ensure proper pickup, residents should be aware of these changes and plan accordingly.
For Howard County, the trash collection schedule is as follows:
- Monday, December 23rd: Normal pickup schedule
- Tuesday, December 24th: Normal pickup schedule
- Wednesday, December 25th: NO routes will run
- Thursday, December 26th: The Wednesday route will be picked up
- Friday, December 27th: The Thursday/Friday routes will be picked up.
Residents are asked to have their trash bagged and placed out for pickup by 7 A.M. on their scheduled collection day.
In addition, the Howard County Courthouse will close at noon on Monday, December 23rd, and will reopen for regular operating hours on Thursday, December 26th.
For Pike County, the rural trash collection schedule will be as follows:
- North End Pickup:
- December 24th and 25th will be picked up on December 26th
- December 26th will be picked up on December 27th
- South End Pickup:
- December 24th will be picked up on December 26th
- December 25th and 26th will be picked up on December 27th
