Holmes and Holmes claimed top prize in benefit bass tourney

The team of Dustin and Marly Holmes claimed the first place prize of 25 hundred dollars in Saturday’s 34th annual Husqvarna Bass Tournament, benefiting the Howard County Children’s Center. Not only did the pair have the heaviest fish total, at a combined weight of 17.83 pounds, they also had the day’s largest single fish, which weighed 7.32 pounds, resulting in them also taking home the big bass prize Saturday, of 350 dollars.
The team of Richard Bryant and Ted Lovell weighed the 2nd largest bass of the day, at 6.59 pounds.
Saturday’s tournament was held on Lake Greeson and featured over 80 boats.
