Hope Police Investigating Friday Night Homicide

The Hope Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night.

Officers responded at approximately 10:45 p.m. to a residence in the 1000 block of West 7th Street after receiving a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male and a juvenile female suffering from gunshot wounds.

The adult male was identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Trujillo Garcia of Paris, Texas. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The juvenile female was transported to a medical facility, where she continues to receive treatment for her injuries.

Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
