Hospital Enters Into Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Agreement

Stacy Green of Heart Care Imaging Inc. and HMH employee Stacey Harberson.

Tuesday night, the Board of Directors of the Howard Memorial Hospital accepted a partnership agreement with Heart Care Imaging Inc. of Florida to provide equipment, training and marketing so cardiac nuclear medicine can be offered at HMH.

Stacey Green, Vice-President of Operations for Heart Care Imaging, said she felt there was no reason why patients with rural hospitals should not receive the same level of care that they would receive if they lived near a major university hospital.

HMH CEO Debra Wright said the partnership is for a term of five-years and the hospital will need a minimum of 15 patients a month to make the program.

The cost of the partnership is about $12,000 a month which includes equipment and management fees.
