House fire in Mineral Springs; occupants escape injury

Tuesday evening about 6:35, the Mineral Springs Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire with children inside.

Fire Chief Chris Hostetler reported they discovered a kitchen fire and the children had been removed from home.

Hostetler said the children were evaluated by Pafford EMS and then transported to Howard Memorial Hospital where they were evaluated and released.

Hostetler explained Mineral Springs and County Line Fire Department have an automatic structure fire assistance agreement. Members of the Nashville Fire Department also assisted because they were in their trucks testing water hydrates within the city.

The house is owned by Charles Smith and occupied by Peyton Hadden and his family.
