Howard Count Audit Information Released

Howard County’s audit information for calendar year 2018 was released yesterday by the state.

Auditors reported only one non-compliance issue by county officials.

The report says adequate documentation was not provided on four Drug Court fund expenditures that totaled more than three thousand dollars.

The expenses highlighted in the report included $2,463 for supplies, 500 dollars for banquet decorating, 200 dollars for a staff meeting meal and 150 dollars for entertainment during a family day event for Drug Court.

The audit findings will be presented to the state legislature’s Joint Auditing Committee at a future date.
