Howard County 4-H Banquet to Celebrate Local Youth and Achievements

Members of 4-H in Howard County are preparing for their upcoming annual banquet, which will recognize the accomplishments of local 4-H members.

Earlier this week, KMTB and KNAS spoke with Anna Kate McKinnon, who serves as an Arkansas 4-H Ambassador and president of the Howard County Teen Leader Club, about the event.

McKinnon, who has been involved with 4-H for the past 10 years, began by sharing what she enjoys most about being part of the organization.

She then explained that the annual banquet is held each year to recognize and celebrate the achievements of 4-H members across the county.

McKinnon added that this year’s event will feature a silent auction of baked goods, and several 4-H members will also give speeches about the projects and activities they have been involved in recently.

McKinnon then discussed some of the ongoing programs within 4-H and highlighted a few of the events members have coming up in the near future.

In closing, McKinnon encouraged members of the public to attend and support the local 4-H program.

The banquet will be held at the Howard County Fairgrounds located at 1565 US 371 in Nashville.
