Howard County Extension Office to Host Hobby Flock Meeting on March 25th

The Howard County Extension Office will be hosting a Hobby Flock Meeting on Tuesday, March 25th at 6 p.m. This event is aimed at educating local poultry enthusiasts and hobby farmers on best practices for managing backyard flocks.

Dawson Bailey, Howard County Extension Agent, will kick off the meeting with a discussion on the best breeds of chickens for egg production, offering valuable insights for those looking to improve their flocks. Following Bailey’s presentation, Dr. Dustan Clark, Associate Poultry Center Director with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture, will give a talk on hobby flock diseases and biosecurity, providing important information on how to keep flocks healthy and safe.
