Hog Show Highlights
The Howard County Fair’s Hog Show featured some exceptional entries, with Guy Cooper Kroll emerging as a dominant force. Kroll claimed the prestigious Supreme Gilt award and was also named Grand Champion Market Hog. He further showcased his expertise by securing the 4th Overall Market Hog spot and both Grand Champion Commercial Gilt and Grand Champion Registered Gilt titles. Barron Kitchens followed as the Reserve Champion Market Hog, with Patrick Kitchens and Peyton Hale finishing 3rd and 5th Overall Market Hog.
In the Commercial Gilt category, Emelia Trombley earned the Reserve Champion title, while Kalli Alexander took the Reserve Champion Registered Gilt spot. The Showmanship awards saw Peyton Hale excel as the Senior Showmanship winner, Guy Cooper Kroll leading in Junior Showmanship, and Konley Lowrie recognized as the Beginner Showmanship winner.
Meat Goat Show Highlights
The Meat Goat Show at the fair also celebrated impressive achievements. Lillian Trombley was named Supreme Doe and took home the Commercial Grand Champion title, with Klansey Lowrie securing the Reserve Grand Champion in the Commercial division. In the Registered division, Christian Trombley was crowned Grand Champion, with Kalli Alexander as Reserve Grand Champion.
The Market Goat competition saw Maggie Dyer crowned Grand Champion, with Claire Myers as the Reserve Grand Champion. Kamryn Myers, Lillian Trombley, and Kelli Myers completed the top five, finishing 3rd, 4th, and 5th Overall Market Goat, respectively.
In Showmanship, Lillian Trombley excelled as the Senior Showmanship winner, Klansey Lowrie as the Junior Showmanship winner, and Maggie Dyer as the Beginner Showmanship winner.
