Howard County Fair Kicks Off September 2 with Full Week of Exciting Events
The Howard County Fair is set to kick off today running through Saturday, September 7. This year’s fair promises a week filled with vibrant activities, competitions, and entertainment for all ages.
The fair will commence with a lively parade at 5 p.m. on Monday, setting the stage for a week of events. On Tuesday, the action starts early with the Dairy Cattle Show at 9 a.m., followed by the Dairy Goats at 10 a.m., Meat Goats at 4 p.m., and Sheep at 6 p.m. Wednesday will feature the Swine Show at 9 a.m. and Beef Cattle at 3 p.m.
Thursday’s schedule includes the Poultry Show at 8 a.m., the Rabbits Show at 9 a.m., the Livestock Beauty Pageant at 6 p.m., and the Old Timers Show at 7 p.m. Friday’s highlights include a premium sale at 9 a.m., with lunch following the sale.
The fair’s entertainment lineup features a circus, running from Tuesday to Thursday at 6:30 p.m., on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
The Ranch Rodeo will take place on Friday, September 6, with tickets priced at $5. Children aged 5 and under can attend for free.
The fair will conclude on Saturday with a Dog Show at 5 p.m., where no pre-registration is necessary, followed by the Bull and Bronc Riding event at 8 p.m. Tickets for the Bull and Bronc Riding are $10, with free admission for children aged 5 and under.
