Howard County Fair Kicks Off This Week with Petting Zoo, Rodeo, and More

The 2025 Howard County Fair officially kicks off today, and there’s a full week of fun, food, and festivities lined up through Saturday, September 6th. We caught up with Fair Board Members John Raulerson and Sydney Reed to get an inside look at what visitors can expect throughout the week.

Petting Zoo: Up-Close Animal Encounters
One of the most popular attractions returns this year — the petting zoo — giving families the chance to meet a variety of animals up close. Raulerson and Reed shared a little about the animals that will be featured and how the idea came to be.
